Matt. 24:36 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.
Isn’t it interesting that people “ADD” to Scripture. — It says “Day” or “Hour“, but it seems Everyone ADDS: Week; Month; Season; Year (1); Decade (10); Score (20); Century (100); Daytona (500); and Millennia (1,000). How crazy is that?!?
In 1 Thess. we find:
1 Thess. 5:3 When people say, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as travail comes upon a woman with child, and there will be no escape. 4 But you are not in darkness, brethren, for that day to surprise you like a thief.
… and this would appear to suggest that we could know the timing up to the week, — understanding that if Jesus returns during a multi-day Feast, we CAN’T know the “Day” or the “Hour“, but we can and SHOULD know that Feast.
A multi day feast? Like Hanukkah?
Some assert that Jesus will return on Rosh Hashana, also called the Feast of Trumpets, which lasts two days. But this gains us little if we’re still in the dark as to the year, and so we turn to the premise provided by J.R. Church in his book “Hidden Prophecies In The Psalms” for that aspect. — You can find my best understanding in the Daniel, Chapter 9 portion, on the last page under the heading, “Scriptural Coincidence”.
