Daniel 12: 4 But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”
9 He said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are shut up and sealed until the time of the end.
Virtually all commentaries present the prophecies of the Book of Daniel as ancient fulfillments. However Dan. 12:4 suggests that these prophecies apply to the era when men shall travel some 60 to 600mph; and when we’d have instant knowledge literally at our fingertips.
And so it seems we MUST Revisit the Prophecies of Daniel in the context of MODERN History, now that Israel is established at “the time of the end”, as presented per the premise in this manuscript: “Daniel, Revisited”.
Of course the prophecies in the Book of Daniel do not stand on their own but are supplemented by Daniel’s other Chapters; the Prophetic Book of Psalms; the Book of Ezekiel; and the Book of Revelation. So that in the end, all Prophetic depictions are confirmed not only within Scripture, but validated by History.
And so we should expect both a consistent outline of World Empires (see “Outline” below); as well each of the Prophetic specifics (see “Daniel, Revisited” below).
