Luke 22: 35 And he said to them, “When I sent you out with no purse or bag or sandals, did you lack anything?” They said, “Nothing.” 36 He said to them, “But now, let him who has a purse take it, and likewise a bag. And let him who has no sword sell his mantle and buy one.
Isn’t interesting that we constantly hear from the pulpit, from the Sunday School Class, and from fellow Christians: “Jesus will meet our needs“; but that’s not what Scripture says. Certainly when Jesus was walking the face of the earth ALL the Disciples needs were met, but HE gave NEW Last Instructions right before proceeding to the Garden of Gesthsemane, where WE are NOW responsible to provide for our needs.
Of course it seems more than reasonable to expect that having done all that we can, that GOD will intercede on our behalf, but it seems MORE than foolish to think that we can sit back and expect all of our needs to miraculously be met. And Scripture AGREES.
